Take your flying to the next level with the Private Pilot Licence (PPL-H). As the step up from the Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL-H), this course allows you to fly helicopters privately throughout Australia in both piston and turbine aircraft.
With comprehensive training in navigation, air law, meteorology, and controlled airspace operations, you’ll develop the skills and confidence to become a safe, skilled, and independent pilot. Whether flying solo or taking friends and family on unforgettable journeys, the PPL is your key to the skies, helicopter style.

Dreaming of a career in aviation or looking to advance your helicopter skills? The Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL-H) is the next step towards becoming a professional helicopter pilot. With a CPL, you’ll be qualified to fly in both commercial operations and private flights across Australia, opening doors to careers in tourism, charter services, aerial work, agriculture, and emergency response. Fly every day, once a month or anywhere in between, the choice is yours for most of the course.

There’s nothing quite like the thrill of flying a helicopter over the city lights at night. The Night VFR (Visual Flight Rules) Rating equips you with the skills, confidence, and operational knowledge to safely conduct helicopter flights after dark.
This course focuses on night flight procedures, risk management, and operational planning, ensuring you are fully prepared to navigate and fly safely when the sun goes down.

If you’ve mastered flying piston helicopters and are ready to progress, the Gas Turbine Engine Endorsement is your next step. This endorsement teaches you the fundamentals of turbo-shaft engines and their application in helicopters, preparing you to fly larger, more powerful turbine aircraft.
With specialist training in engine management, performance, and operational techniques, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to transition smoothly from piston-powered helicopters to modern turbine helicopters.

Ready to expand your skills and fly a different helicopter? Our Type Training and Aircraft Endorsements courses give you the knowledge and practical experience to safely operate a new aircraft type.
Through hands-on training in normal, abnormal, and emergency flight conditions, you’ll gain the confidence and skills required to manage your chosen helicopter type effectively and safely. Each endorsement is tailored to your aircraft of choice and conducted to CASA-approved standards.
